Exterior

Complete exterior walk around, checking perimeter of property including doors and windows for vandalism, forced entry or weather damage.

Check irrigation functionality and look for erosion or drainage issues

Check that landscaping is being maintained

Check breaker panel

Check exterior hose bibs

Remove newspapers, flyers, miscellaneous debris

Blow off front and back patios and driveway

Pick up mail

Interior:

Inspect each room for weather related damage

Run water at all sinks to eliminate sewer odor, flush toilets and check for leaks at all.

Run washing machine, dishwasher and garbage disposal checking for any leaks and to keep seals lubricated.

Check that refrigerator and freezer are cooling

Inspect floors, ceilings, windows and doors for any signs of leaks, mold or insect damage

Check that AC cooling/heating and thermostat are operational

Check water softer and water heater for leaks and performance

Confirm security system is active

Reset appliances, circuit breakers, and automatic timers in the event of a power outage

Change A/C filters monthly (provided by home owners)
